Hungarian Adriatic Yacht Club (MAY Club)

The Hungarian Adriatic Yacht Club (Magyar Adria Yacht Club) was established in 2002. Our aim is to meet the expectations of those who want to relax by sailing around the scenic Adriatic Coast and archipelago.

Our fleet is based in two marinas so one can easily explore most of the Adriatic.

To sail the Middle or Northern part of the Adriatic our base the Olive Island Marina in Croatia is well situated whilst for the South Adriatic, our new base at Bar in Montenegro is ideally located.

Olive Island Marina - Croatia
Bar Marina - Montenegro

Olive Island Marina is an ideal departure point only 9 kms. from Zadar, is situated in Central Dalmatia. Itis a brand new marina built according to the new concept of Croatian government called "gentle tourism". While the infrastructure offers a full range of services (shops, restaurants, maintenance, parking, etc.) the size and the surroundings of the marina gives a special intimate mood one can only find in the Dalmatian archipelago.

Ugljan Island is only 15 minutes by ferry from Zadar. The arrival port on the Ugljan-Island called PREKO.

On leaving the Marina one is immediately confronted with one of the most beautiful areas of the world. No matter whether one heads North or South, the pearls of the Dalmatian archipelago await you in either direction.

BAR - Montenegro!

Montenegro is full of with ancient beauties...
and offers a special mood...
...to all visitors

We opened our new base by the beautiful small town of Bar in Montenegro. The country has just achieved independence and it has many spectacular natural sights, historic buildings and monuments. In order to develop the tourism industry, the government is rapidly building-up all necessary infrastructure and tourist facilities. At the pace it is progressing, Montenegro could soon be the most popular part of the Adriatic.

Safety and comfort = pleasure sailing!

The yachts of the Hungarian Adriatic Yacht Club are designed for comfort and safe sailing. We have chosen the Bavaria 44 as our main type for its spaciousness and because these yachts are generally accepted to be the most reliable and safest vessels.

It has 8 berths in 4 cabins offering a spacious interior for the crew whose comfort is further enhanced by a fully equiped kitchen with refrigerator, a wide saloon and two shower/W.C.s with hot-water. A built-in CD player and radio provides onboard entertainment.

A furling mainsail and roller-furling genoa guarantees easy handling and safety. The high-powered Volvo Parkins diesel engine is extremely useful in unexpected situations, entering or leaving marinas as well as for mooring.

Our yachts’ safety is complemented by the navigation instruments which include a Raymarine VHF radio, charts of the Adriatic area and programmed electronic navigation control (Raychart 520+ Chartplotter including GPS), as well as a Rymarine ST 6001 steering wheel autopilot.

ST 60 Tridata (depth, speed, water temperature) and ST 60 Wind gauges completes the navigational aids. All instruments are inter-connected and work as a complete system.

Each of our yachts has a rubber dinghy with an outboard motor.
As well as bare-boat charter we also cater for the less experienced mariners. Qualified skippers are available at set daily rates, ensuring that anybody can enjoy an effortless and relaxing vacation on a reliable and safe yacht in the knowledge that they are in ’safe hands’.

Experience our yachts and partake in an unforgettable sailing holiday in Dalmatia and Montenegro!

We are waiting for you to join now and hopefully to come back next season again!
